Website and social medias intern

OCP Policy Center is seeking for a highly motivated intern who will have a strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media websites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. Expert-level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision making ability and attention to detail are critical for this position. The internship is for 3 to 6 months.



Scope of Work



- Establish a table detailing OCP Policy Center website’s restructuring/updating needs and propose ways of improving the website;



- Provide proofreading and copy editing support as needed;



- Draft and edit copy for social media content calendar;



- Schedule social media posts and ensure quality;



- Update social media pages as needed;



- Generate ideas for reaching greater audience / Help develop strategies for new ways to engage and new social network profiles to reach our target audience;



- Assist in the daily routines within the digital field.

Qualifications and Requirements



- Obtain/Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education;



- Passion for Social Media and emerging technology;



- Exceptional oral and written communication skills;



- Self-starter with an analytical mindset and great problem-solving ability;



- Superb attention to detail and excellent organizational skills;



- Skills in html, InDesign and Photoshop preferred although not required;



- Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient is also required.
